Guidelines for Writing Occupy

Writing Occupy accepts queries for stories and essays less than 1,000 words on a single event, preferably a small one or a tiny corner of a large event. Best if the event was experienced personally and the physical facts and interpretations are without question. The piece may be authored solely by you or in combination with one of our writers.

We’ve come to believe, after many experiments, that Occupy is too large, too young, and too volatile to admit of an overall analysis. Be prepared for your piece to be scrutinized and given radical rewrite suggestions.

The hope is that, over time, a variety of pieces will produce an accurate picture. We stand to grow wiser about Occupy as result and more able to participate for the common good.

To submit your piece for possible publication, please email Clive.
